About Me
My full name is Samuel Chadwick Gibbs IV. I go by Chad because my mother decided that she did not want to have two Sams (I share my name with my father) running around in her house. I am a senior mechanical engineer at Duke. I enjoy playing Golf, Basketball, and Rugby. I have spent to past two summers working on internships for Northrop Grumman, first in California and then in Maryland. I grew up in Northern California, but have recently moved to Asheville, NC. I have enjoyed my time at Duke and feel it has been an important factor into helping me mature into the individual that I am today. I have enjoyed my coursework, especially my courses in Duke's Markets and Management (MMS) program. I have appreciated the balance created between my analytical Engineering work, and my MMS work which often demands creativity and non intuitive solution discovery. I am looking to find a career where I will be challenge in new ways on a day to day basis. I hope to find someplace where I will be engaged with my work and come to love what I do. For now, I am just looking to continue succeeding academically and working to enjoy my senior year of collage to the best of my ability. |  |
